P92 Eaglet
All information provided applies to the Tecnam model P92 EAGLET equipped with the Rotax engines 912 ULS2, 912 IS and the Lycoming engine, YO-233-B2A.
Using the proven P92, an all metal, two seats, single strut braced high wing aeroplane, as the base platform, and paying particular attention to the needs of the new American LSA category, Tecnam has delivered the best high wing training and cross country aircraft to date in the light general aviation category.
The Eaglet combines the best of the features of their existing high wing aircraft line merged into a single platform. The Eaglet features increased side visibility, smooth aerodynamic lines, a low profile modular panel able to accommodate a wide range of avionics, while still maintaining excellent visibility over the nose, a trait of all TECNAM models.
The doors which are lined with automotive type door seals, seats that give full support with excellent leg room, side map pockets as well as pockets in the back of the seats all combine to make the Eaglet a very comfortable aircraft.
Some of the advantages:
  • Superior performance and flight characteristics
  • Low stall speed with excellent response at all speeds
  • Stable and Responsive
  • Uncompromising build quality (based on CS/VLA certified Aircraft)
  • Excellent visibility
  • Roomy, quiet and ergonomic
All this makes the Eaglet the natural choice for discriminating buyers of all ages and levels of flight experience.
Construction

This 5th generation P92 Eaglet builds on our commitment to continue to develop outstanding, stylish, innovative and affordable aeroplanes. For the Tecnam team, designing and building aeroplanes isn't just a job, it's an extension of our "Passion for flying". The high efficiency wing is based on the well known NACA63A airfoil while the single-slot flaps, extending along much of the wing span, allow low stall speeds with great take off and landing performance.
The all movable type (stabilator) horizontal tail, traditional on all Tecnam aeroplanes, allows excellent controllability and "hands off" longitudinal stability.
The instrument panel size is increased due to the wider cabin and its modular design can accommodate the most complete instrumentation, be it analogue or digital.
The P92 Eaglet fuselage has had its forward section modified, thus allowing for an increase in the cabin width, larger doors for easier access and a wider baggage compartment.

Interior And Outdoor

The generous interior dimensions of the Tecnam P92 Eaglet allow maximum space for Pilot and passenger alike.
With two wide doors and eco leather seats adjustable fore and aft, the cabin provides great flexibility for pilots of varying physical size to optimize their comfort. Each seat is provided with a three-point seat belt. Dual controls come as standard with PTT and electric stabilator trim on the stick with a trim indicator on the panel. The plane comes with dual conventional rudder pedals with steerable nose wheel and toe brakes.

Landing Gear
top document

The main spring leaf landing gear, including wheels, tyres and fairings are the same as on all of the other non-retractable Tecnam aeroplane models.
The nose gear is steerable and consists of a tubular steel leg, connected to the engine mount attachments and is braced by a rubber shock absorber which is dimensioned for unprepared surfaces and for nose landings, frequent in flight school activities.

Engine And Propeller

The Tecnam P92 Eaglet can be equipped with a four-cylinder four-stroke Rotax 912 engine (Carburetor or injection) with a TBO of 2,000 hrs providing 100 hp @5800 rpm or the Textron Lycoming YO-233-B2A, with a TBO of 2,400 hrs providing 115 hp @2800 rpm. Both are coupled to a Sensenich fixed pitch propeller with geometric and aerodynamic characteristics that have been carefully selected to optimize the aircraft???s top class performance.
The engine is well isolated from vibration and has very easy and convenient access to the engine compartment allowing for fast, and thorough, daily and pre-flight inspections.
